Halibut Fishing

Battle Pacific halibut and bottom fish in productive BC waters

Bottom Fish Adventure

Pacific halibut are the barn doors of the sea - flat, powerful, and absolutely delicious. Our halibut grounds produce fish from 20 to 100+ pounds, with the occasional giant that'll test your tackle and your arms.

While targeting halibut, you'll also encounter lingcod and various rockfish species. It's not uncommon to come home with a mixed bag of some of the best eating fish in the ocean.

Target Species

Pacific Halibut

Flatfish giants, 20-100+ lbs. Excellent table fare.

Lingcod

Aggressive predators, 10-40 lbs. Tasty white meat.

Yelloweye Rockfish

Deep water beauties. Strict limits protect stocks.

Quillback Rockfish

Colorful and common. Good eating.

Best Season

Halibut fishing is excellent from May through September. Early season fish are typically smaller but plentiful. Mid-summer brings the larger fish as they move into shallower feeding grounds.
